I noticed something that Jahan did today and it spun me out.
Jahan has become spatially aware of objects which are outside his field of vision, and moreover, is able to intentionally pick up and manipulate them without looking at them. This morning, he was playing with a block while I was changing his nappy, and whilst he was doing so, he never once shifted his gaze from me. A few times he dropped the block beside him, and realising he'd done so, reached down and picked it up with his eyes still affixed on me. On one occasion, the block rolled beside his right ear. This time he reached up for it, picked it up and passed it to his other hand, while all the time interacting with me visually and vocally.
Ok, small things impress small minds (and it's not like passing a giraffe...) But maybe it's not true what they say about men not being able to walk and chew gum at the same time...
