I must make note of four little "firsts" which Jahan achieved this weekend.
Firstly, having been a little slow off the mark, Jahan can finally clap, and does so in response to "clap-clap". Secondly, he responds with gusto to "hands up!" by lifting his arms over his head. (Thanks to Jordyn for that idea.)
And thirdly, this morning, everytime he heard a chirp or a twitter, Jahan began to say "bee-dee" (meaning birdy). As this is the first actual noun he has mastered, we are happy to credit it with being his first word. (I am amused at the irony of having his first word be the one animal in the world I cannot tolerate!)
Then this afternoon, he began to say "ka-ka" which I can only guess means "car", because he says it everytime we go outside. Confirmation pending on this one.
Oh, and after an extensive weekend of explanation, Jahan has accepted that doggy is now "dod-ee" and not "twaak-twaak".
Fourthly (or seventhly?) he appears to have a left lower first inscissor coming through. This particular tooth has been threatening to break the surface for almost three months, so I am still not holding my breath...
