Jahan's birthday party was held on Sunday and by most accounts, it appears to have been a success. (Of course, it has taken me this long to recover enough to write this entry!) I must say, the experience was far more pleasant than I feared - even though I was rushed off my feet and didn't have two minutes to have a conversation with even one of the guests... We almost ran out of food, and Jahan wasn't as sociable as I would have liked him to be. But apart from that, it worked. The kids amused themselves (thank GOD for the Bouncy Castle which I cannot recommend enough), which gave their parents time to have the odd adult conversation! Jahan was showered with attention and gifts, and it was lovely to see friends and family with whom we hardly have time to catch up these days. Shall put this one down as a personal milestone of my own - I organised a kids' birthday party, and lived to tell the tale!!
