Sureka recently commented that "There's nothing quite like the lurch in your heart when you turn around to see your child with blood streaming down his face". Well, I can match that lurch in your heart and raise you one lurch in your stomach.
I wondered onto the deck this afternoon to see Jahan quietly poking something in his mouth. Suspecting from his sneaky look that it must have been something he wasn't supposed to chew, I asked him to open his mouth. He did so, and out crawled a whopping huge very alive caterpillar - which promptly ran down his neck and disappeared down his shirt. After much curfuffling, I found it and disposed of it, yelled at Jahan and collapsed in a heap with a brandy.
