Until recently, Jahan has mainly used language to communicate two things: observations or curiosity about what something was, where someone was etc, or his need for food or objects. This weekend, however, I noticed that he was finally trying to communicate his opinion about things.
This morning, Jahan objected to being dressed in overalls. He yanked at the straps, screwed up his nose and announced "I don't like it!". When given broccoli for dinner last night, he stated "No, not yummy!".
And then this morning (what makes ALL of this worthwhile), Jahan hugged his Daddy, and declared "I love you"! :)
